Every month of the year, there is an official Cub Scout Monthly Theme. BSA Supply has a patch that can be ordered for each theme.
In our Pack, I try to have some kind of field trip or event each month tying in to the monthly theme for which we can award a monthly theme patch to award good attendance. I think this can be a fun way to reward good attendance at special events.
