New DST/More Outdoor Activity Time

Daylight Saving Time begins today (second Sunday of March).

Last year, I had mixed feelings about the new DST changes. I was annoyed that time programming in clocks and computers often had to be updated or just would not work right anymore due to the new DST Dates.

But I was happy about the effect of the changes for our Cub Scout Pack. Our Pack meets every Tuesday from 6pm-7pm. There are a lot more cool outdoor activity options open to us if it is still daylight during that time period. It’s hard to play outdoor games or go on a hike in the dark.

Today I am happy about the new DST dates because they allow people to spend more time in the evening hours doing outdoor games and activities which I think is a very good thing.
