Cub Scout packs which are chartered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS packs) have some differences from non-LDS packs because they are an integral part of the LDS church youth program.
Some of the ways in which LDS packs vary from non-LDS packs include:
- Boys progress from one level to another by age rather than grade.
- Boys do not join Cub Scouts until they turn eight years old.
- LDS packs do not participate in the Tiger Cub program.
- No overnight camping other than family camps.
