Pinewood Derby is a highlight of the year for most Cub Scout packs. Watching and cheering for the brightly colored cars speeding down the track can be very exciting.
But I think it is helpful to remember that Pinewood Derby is not really about making and racing fast cars.
Pinewood Derby is about:
- Kids and parents spending time together on a project
- Learning good sportsmanship
- Having a fun pack event
