Our pack’s 2009 summer schedules are now complete. You can download them at the links below. They may have some ideas for things your pack may want to do.
Here are a few things to note:
- Our pack meets every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. During the summer, the only week we don’t meet as a group is day camp week.
- I am a big advocate of an active Cub Scout summer. Summer is when kids have the most free time on their hands. It is much easier to have a great Cub Scout fall if you haven’t stopped Cub Scouting for three months.
- On June 9 and 16, our Bears and Webelos Scouts will work on their Basketball belt loop. On July 7 and 14, they will work on their Ultimate belt loop. During those weeks, our Tigers and Wolfs will rotate between several different outdoor sports and games.
- Late July and early August are the hottest parts of the summer here. We generally plan indoor activities those weeks.
- We have a campout or a Saturday hike every month of the year.
- Our summer schedule flyers are distributed to our pack families and are used for spring recruiting.
- You can download a similar Word formatted schedule flyer template at this link.
- We also distribute a pack newsletter to our families each month.
