A new patch is available from BSA National, celebrating the 100 year anniversary of Scouting. The “Year of Celebration” patch is a temporary patch, worn hanging on the right pocket of the uniform.
There are 5 ribbons that can be earned to accompany this patch in each of the following areas: Leadership, Achievement, Community Service, Character, and Outdoors.
This patch and the associated ribbons can only be earned from September 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010.
All levels of Scouting (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, and even adult leaders and alumni) can earn this patch. There are different age appropriate requirements for each level.
